ClearRay Alkalinity Up is designed to lower both the pH and total alkalinity of your hot tub water. The total alkalinity of spa water should be maintained between 80-150ppm as determined by a suitable test kit. Maintain the pH within the designed range of 7.2-7.8.
ClearRay Alkalinity Down should be used as necessary when pH levels are above 7.8.
For best results, dissolve granular products first by adding to a small, plastic pail filled with water. Then, apply the solution to the spa water.
- Make sure equipment is OFF
- Add 1/4 oz (1-1.5 tsp) ClearRay pH/Alkalinity Down for every 500 gallons of spa water.
- Turn on circulation system for 3 minutes.
- Retest water after 3 minutes
- If pH is still above 7.8, repeat steps 1-4.
Please note they use this bottle for most products, the fill line differs pending the product weight.
