Microclean Ultra is engineered as the industry's first interlocking system to provide dual filtration resulting in the purest water.
The outer or first stage filter traps large particles while the inner or second stage filter traps Ultra Fine particles. The first stage filter can be washed out to save on replacement filters.

This filter is the inner disposable portion of a new 2 part microclean filter. Works with outer portion 6473-165 sold separately.

Filter Glossary

As you can see in this graphic, when looking at a filter's threads from the side the difference is very obvious. Standard, sometimes called "MPT" or "Male Pipe" threads are smaller and have a higher number of threads than the S.A.E. style. The S.A.E. threads are large and are square in nature almost resembling a child's toy.
