Speaker went through a design change in Mid-2009, the Sundance logo was removed and the gray color is darker than the original.
The current inventory of the polyplanar speaker (P/N 6560-501), come with spade connectors rather than a plug connector. The following
procedure is recommended when replacing this speaker. The replacement speaker will no longer function with a remote (if applicable) since it
does not have an “IR Sensor.”
Procedure
1. Turn off power to the spa.
2. Remove the non-operational speaker and replace it with a new speaker. Note: the replacement speaker has spade connectors, clip and remove them.
3. Locate the wiring harness. Clip and remove the speaker amp connector.
4. You will notice that the new speaker has the following wires: Solid yellow, yellow with a black stripe, solid white, and white with a black stripe. The wiring harness
has the following wires: Solid gray, gray with a black stripe, solid white, and white with a black stripe. Strip approximately 1/2” off the ends of all eight wires.
5. Use wire nuts to splice the following (from the speaker to harness):
IMPORTANT: You must connect solid to solid and black stripped to black stripped.
a. Solid yellow to solid gray.
b. Yellow with black strip to gray with black stripe.
c. Solid white to solid white.
d. White with black stripe to white with black stripe.
6. Reapply power to the spa and test the stereo system to complete this procedure.
